Independent Director - Professor Xun Zhang

Professor Xun Zhang is Director of Neuroendocrine Research Laboratory of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Zhang received his BS in biochemistry from Nanjing University, China, and PhD in molecular biology from State University of New York at Albany, USA. After his post-doctoral trainings from the Rockefeller University, New York, and UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles, Dr. Zhang was recruited to Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to take the position of Director of Neuroendocrine Research Laboratory. In the past 20 years Dr. Zhang has been focusing his research in human tumors, and published many innovative scientific papers with high impacts in the field. Dr. Zhang is considered a world renowned leader in the fields of pituitary and brain tumors and large non-coding RNAs. He has received numerous awards from National Institute of Medicine, The Endocrine Society, American Cancer Society, pharmaceutical companies, and private foundations. Dr. Zhang has been Editorial Board member or ad hoc reviewer for more than 20 international scientific journals and foundations. Dr. Zhang was frequently invited to speak at international medical meetings worldwide, and established close relationship with many world renowned physicians and scientists.
